Gentle, tactful, caring. It's all about the website for the Russian Copper Company's charitable foundation.
The main nuance of the project was working with a vulnerable audience of parents involved in the treatment of children with cancer. In order to carefully build a dialog with the user, Voskhod Digital designers took the concept of “circle of life” as a basis. Its main message sounds like: “Hard times and sadness are always replaced by easy times and happiness in a circle.” This closed figure serves as a symbol of infinity and a halo of security. The feeling of weightlessness and purity is achieved by the airy layout, “quiet” typography and soft color accents.
The avoidance of capital letters in disease names and section headings helps to convey a calm attitude to the problem. The use of exclamation marks and dots is also minimized to avoid deliberate formality in the texts.
In addition, the site makes little use of animation. The clutter of motion design elements risked creating a sense of vanity. The site's task is not to rush the visitor, but to guide him smoothly and tactfully through the sections, helping him to cope with life's challenges and informing him about ways to get help.
